How much will it cost?
We tend to recommend a starting price of £100 per head for tasting menus, although in some instances such as with large events we can work with smaller budgets. This price ensures we can typically offer menus of 8 or more courses, using absolutely the best ingredients.
How does booking work?
After confirming the number of guests, your budget per guest, and any allergies or dietary requirements, we will begin to put together a personalised multi-course tasting menu with your favourite ingredients and flavours in mind. Following this we’ll usually schedule a visit to the venue where possible in order to make sure the evening runs smoothly. We then request a deposit of 50% paid no later than 14 days before the event, with the balance paid after the meal. Because each event is priced individually according to each customer’s requirements, we don’t offer an online purchase service - You’ll be emailed an invoice for the deposit after the budget has been agreed upon.
What is your cancellation policy?
Deposits are refundable until 5 days before the event.
Will I have to tidy up afterwards?
We will take care of the clean down after your meal. Our aim is always to leave your kitchen and dining room exactly as we found it.
I’m worried my kitchen wont be well equipped enough for private dining, can you still cater for me?
Because every menu we write is designed with the kitchen of the host in mind, there are very few spaces we are unable to work out of. Moreover, we’ll typically use our own equipment including portable ovens and induction hobs in service.
Do you cater for vegans and vegetarians?
We take pride in our ability to create exciting menus for vegetarian and vegan guests. Vegetarian and vegan dishes on our menus will never be lazy substitutions or predictable cop outs.
Do you cater for clients with allergies, or other dietary requirements?
Whilst we are scrupulous with allergen management both in our prep kitchen and during events, we are unable to guarantee there absence of trace amounts of allergens in dishes. We are perfectly happy to cater for all religious dietary requirements, as well as guests’ individual preferences.
Do you only cater for dinner parties?
Whilst we specialise in fine dining style tasting menus, we are more than happy to discuss other events. Thus far we’ve catered for 120 guests at a wedding in Northumberland, a 30 cover BBQ, and a canape evening for the launch of a local business.
Can you cater for events outside of the north east?
We are more than happy to consider booking from anywhere in the UK.
